I had the absolute pleasure of creating a song teaser for Mani Zuko, a Canberra-based R&B artist. Together, we brought to life a 30-second teaser for his track “30211,” focusing on a grunge aesthetic and transforming still textures into dynamic motion graphics using pre-recorded footage.
My goal was to make the video short and impactful, leaving a lasting impression while amplifying his music. Working in After Effects, I used a monochrome colour palette with subtle hints of red, which I felt perfectly complemented his style. I purposely dropped the frame rate to add to that grungy/retro look.
