This was a playful concept piece where I imagined what might happen if luxury brutalism met nostalgic kitsch. I wanted to see how two completely different worlds; Rick Owens’ moody, sculptural aesthetic and the soft, quirky charm of Monchhichi, could collide.
I designed each item in Photoshop, from a pentagram necklace with a tiny Monchhichi charm to engraved sterling earrings and reworked leather jackets featuring the toy’s graphic silhouette. Then, I brought it all to life in After Effects through a surreal, animated mock ad.
It was a fun way to explore contrast and the tension between darkness and innocence, high fashion and childhood nostalgia.
